  I suspect they would have the same problem
as trying to use 35mm camera lenses to view
5 or 7 perf images. My attempts at this shows
that they magnify fine but only show part of
the image (my 50mm f1.4 would work for 5 perf).

  John B can add to this by explaining that
the exit pupil of the camera lens is located
in the wrong place for using as a viewer lens
(or techie works like that :)
