A friend of mine has the little $400 HP slide/photo scanner, and while the
resolution isn't state of the art, it's not too shabby. I'm going to wait
until the second or third generation version of this thing hits the deck
and buy one. However, the current version is compact, and would be great
for getting images on a web site fast. It does slides as well as 4x5
photos. Sorry, I don't remember the model, but any computer catalog should
show it-- not much else comparable at that price range.   --Elliott
