If you ever see a copy of the VM "Star Trek, The Next Generation" set
you'll see that they must have been using the Nikon rig at least up to
that point in history. The photographer took hyperstereo shots... of
people's faces. There are some shots in the set that comprise some of the
worst commercial stereo photography ever done-- real brain twisters...
