Hyperstereo threshold

My Yashica 124G takes such sharp pictures I've been thinking of
eventually getting another one and shooting stereo. The separation would
be around 90mm. I know Greg and others have done a lot of shooting with
a similar setup. Practically speaking what kinds of limitations does the
hyperstereo separation create? Are you forced to shoot only subjects
greater than 20' (or whatever) away? Any other comments welcome.
