Oleg:
Got your message about the 2 1/4 twin rig cranking solution. That's a usable
idea. So I investigated a little further; I have a Rolleiflex TLR. with 2.8
Zeiss lens, to put two side by side the stereo base is 100mm, which is good
for most cases. I tested the 6x7 with 55mm lens, set to 70 mm separation
(film deviation 1.2mm) and 140mm separation (film deviation <2mm), very
viewable in both settings. So the Rollei's 100mm is OK, but how to sync the
shutters is still a problem.
I checked out e-bay to look for a Rolleiflex to match mine (just for fun,
don't want to buy another one yet), but it is very difficult, since mine is
very unique, it can use 35mm film as well as 120, but I don't have the 35mm
adopter.
As for the progress of the 6x7 3D viewer, I am gaining ground. I made two
slide holders. One for landscape setting, and one for portrait setting, and
the lenses I have can cover both of them nicely. By George, I think I got
it. I am going to make a prototype box with heavy card board first, and make
improvement as I go along. I can build a light box like those I've learned
for the MF-3D list. Or I can buy one from B&H, but they don't seem to have
one to fit my size, I needed a 3"x6" light box with DC operation. More info
later.
