Greg recently mentioned off-list that he had
"contacted Jon Golden about putting a deposit
on an S1 for my Point & Shooting needs." That
was after I asked him what he meant when he
said: "I expect to be much busier soon and for
the next 1 to 5 years. So not much 3d list time
though I do hope to get a home computer on the
internet so I'll still be in contact."

I guess it's open season on speculation about
Greg Erker's imminent life changes! As additional
clues, Greg mentioned that he thinks he will
actually be able to make an NSA convention in the
next year or two. Also, if you check Greg's post
about winning the lottery (in Marco's archive at:
http://www.pauck.de/archive/mailinglist/mf3d/mhonarc/msg00226.html )
you'll see that the S1 was not his RBT of choice
at the time. So either he didn't win the lottery,
or he's changed his mind! ;-)
So let's see...less time to post to 3D lists, but
able to get time off for a stereo convention, his
boss just gave him a couple extra days off at the
start of his vacation, and he suddenly has a big
budget to burn on stereo photo equipment. That
can only mean ___________________________________
(fill in the blank).
