Joel had turned over admin duties to Tom Deering back when Joel
was in the midst of his move, so the folio has been called "Tom's
folio" since it was sent from Joel to Tom in October 1999. Tom
sent the folio on to resume an expanded* first loop the last week
of May 2000 (after considerable prodding over the course of several
months).
*Several new participants joined after the folio had finished
its original first loop.
Unfortunately, progress has been slow. After 10 weeks, the folio has
only made it to its third stop since Tom mailed it in May. This is
not good, folks! The folio is supposed to be sent to the next person
within one week of receiving it.
It's been so long since Alan and I (the first two stops on the circuit)
saw the folio that I don't recall what is in the instructions. We can
give the newcomers the benefit of the doubt this time and assume they
were not aware of the 1 week guideline. Nevertheless, this folio
appears to need a higher level of monitoring. I propose:
- I will take over admin duties for the folio;
- All participants must agree to post to the list
when they a) receive and b) send along the folio.
(I will try to find a system to allow this to be
posted to a web page instead of to the list, but
until that is ready, post notices to the list.)
- Any impediments to meeting the 1 week turnaround
guideline must be immediately communicated off-list
to the administrator.
