The more common flash bulbs such as the Press 25B only have a 
GN of about 160-180 depending on the reflector used. Bill has 
electronic flashes with a GN of 140. Not much of a difference. 

In order to get enough flash from a bulb to be effective for 
landscapes you will need some of the screw base bulbs which 
can cost as much as $25-50.00 each. And yes, several of these 
will be enough to light up any landscape. For examples of
