I just finished mounting a Sputnik shot from a test
roll of Provia F pushed 2 stops (EI 400). In the
stereo viewer the grain even in the sky is small
enough that I didn't even notice it until I looked
for it. This film is amazing! I think it's been
said here before, but what a boon for stereophotographers!
While I still prefer Velvia, I'm going to order a
lot more Provia F for outdoor shots on breezy days
with lighting conditions below sunny-16. I'll
probably try to stick to +1 when possible, but it's
great to know that in the right situation I now
have the option to expose at EI 400 and still get
very usable stereo slides.
