I forgot to add what may be the most important factor and that is the 
difference between transmitted light and reflected light. I think that 
transmitted light reveals better deatil and a "look" that is much more 
pleasing.

If you were to take two identical images, one a conventional paper 
print and the other a back lit transparency (such as a duratrans) the 
transperancy would be the better image. Better yet compare the two 
types of Stereojet prints.
