[MF3D.FORUM:1284] Sputnik lens problem

I'm trying to synch focus on a Sputnik and it appears one lens
has a strange problem.  At its best focus point, the lens on
the left is very blurred.  Looking at white writing on a blue
background, some of the letters appear as though they have a
trailing motion blur (like a shot with a rear curtain sync flash
on a moving object and slow shutter speed).  A large white
circular logo on the blue background has very poor separation
of the white and blue areas.

Anyone see this problem before?  Any guesses how to solve it?
I've heard of problems with lens elements being installed the
wrong way.  Could that be the cause of this problem, and how
do I check for incorrectly installed elements?
