Several of my Sputnik sales so far have been to folks who
already own one. Some people don't trust Sputnik reliability
enough to only travel with one.
But there's another way to put two to use: on a bar with a
twin cable release for hypers of moving subjects. If you
leave all four lenses uncapped at the same time, you'll have
the choice of making near-dupes, or using the four images for
instant stereo base bracketing (about a 5" variation between
using the two inside images versus the two outside images).
With Sputniks being relatively affordable these days, it's not
a bad way to go. Kill two birds with one stone: have a backup
Sputnik and a second camera for hyper.
