I have done a little 4x5 stereo.  I made a slide-platform
out of a couple pieces of wood and a couple metal rails
that enabled me to shift the camera without sliding the
tripod.  I also used the lens shift movements to create
a built-in stereo window.  It all worked, but it sure was
a lot of work!
