They're 3 - 3.5mm thick (seems to vary, difficult to measure - the
plflexes...), 70.8mm square. Thickness measured with micrometer, slide size
measured with a vernier caliper (couldn't be bothered to dig out the large
micrometer...!)
<< Are these mounts tapered in thickness (thicker in middle, thinner at edges)
like the 35mm GEPE mounts? If they are can you measure the thickest and
thinnest dimension? Maybe this is published on the internet somewhere.>>
Seems to be 3.05mm on inside thicker on outside - so tapering the wrong way!
<< Also, when single mounts are used as stereo pairs what mounting gauge
dimensions are used? In other words is there an infinity spacing standard
with a set gap between slides (similar to the Reel 3-d mounting gauge for
twin 35 slides)? Or is it a free for all? >>
I'd guess it's a free-for-all! Window is 54.4mm, so the sides are 7.5mm
Overlapping them would give 63.3mm - possible for viewing without mirrors or
prisms. The infinity separation would depend on the MOFD deemed desirable.
I've seen various values for this!
I'd love to have a SaturnSlide for separate mounts - otherwise I'll have to
take two of everything if I want to project! (Assuming I can find another
Rolleivision 66 projector!)
