OK, Lets jump in with both feet! I have been a professional
advertising photographer in the UK for over 20 years. In my experience
the choice of lens and camera is driven by the brief / art director. My
commissions range from studio still life, 5" x 4" & 10" x 8" formats, to
wide angle / panoramic (Noblex 150 U) on location. My first challenge is
to interpret the brief / visual, and decide what camera and lens to use.

I guess that I am fortunate enough to have quite a lot of equipment at
my disposal, and that my Noblex is just another string to my bow. Even
though I advise students to just stick with a 50 mm on a 35 mm camera,
and use truck loads of film, in the commercial world this is not a
viable option. Bob Atherton
