Wide Angle Perspective

In the course of a fierce debate about fisheye vs rectilinear
perspective on rec.photo.equipment.35mm I have generated a couple
of exaggerated example images of the same scene in various projections:

I do not want to start a fight on this list, but rather
demonstrate

o the pros and cons of rectilinear/panoramic/fisheye perspectives.

o the ease to convert one projection into another one using free software.

So irrespective of the photographic equipment you choose to buy
you can generate any image type you like.
