Run a test film, using transparency film. if you use a roll of 220, you can
bracket, and see which results are best for the film you use.. 

You'll find that the filter, whatever brand, is more forgiving when using
faster ASA's, even if it is slide film.

make sure it is a center spot filter, not a density filter
