It is no longer listed in Nikon Inc's current price list dated August
1,1998, and Nikon definitely does not make this lens any longer.  The
factory turned down a firm order for several hundred of them from a U.S.
corporation last year.  They said they would have to re-tool to
manufacture any more of them and they couldn't justify the resources
necessary to do that.
