A friend of mine uses a Scanmaker 5 and loves it. But it somebody I've
not seen in person for 15 years, so I cannot attest to her judgement in
these matters.

If I'm not mistaken, Pro Photo Connection replaced the Arcus II they
used to use with a DuoScan. Cornel was talking about having a special
film holder made for 70mm RoundShot negs.

Now there's a newer model DuoScan T2000 LX with higher resolution. DMAX
is 3.5. Film up to 9.5" x 12" and A3+ reflective images (up to 12" x
18") at 667 x 2000 ppi. "True optical resolution" of 2000 x 2000 ppi in
an area 4" (105 mm) wide by 18" (458 mm) for reflective material or by
12" (305 mm) for film.
