Hello Ben!
YES! I own a real 35mm Spinshot camera, and can tell you everything you
want to know about it. This camera makes perfect 360 degree pictures in
about a second. Actually you will generally get at least two 360 degree
pictures from thge exposures since it is kind of hard to stop the camera
from turning once it starts going. As you know, the whole camera operates
by your pulling a string in the handle that winds a spring. Holding the
camera in front of you with the lens towards you, you remove the lens cap
(the shutter) and then let go of the string. When you do this, the head of
the camera flys around a couple of times in a circle taking the picture.
You quickly replace your lens cap, and the process is over.
This camera has no lens settings to worry about, focus, or anything
else, as it was made for news reporter people covering a story who every
once in a while would like to get a picture of the whole event for
publication in the news paper. It is a fair weather camera for taking
pictures during the day outside. I find that the new 800 iso Kodak negative
film is most adapt for this camera.
I would say that although the image quality isn't as good as a Nikon, it
does compare with perhaps an early Widelux under the best of conditions.
I would sell mine for $400.00 if you are interested. I would work quite
good for making pictures for the web. It is a fun sort of thing.
My best,
