Hey Steven!
Figure about100 degrees for the Linhof617s.Wonderful camera! The effect
you get with the 3:1 aspect ratio and 90f5.6 SuperAngulon is more
natural and sweeping in its effect than the novel yet somewhat
irritating effect of the Noblex/Widelux rotational cameras which try to
squeeze 140 degrees into a confining little 2:1 aspect frame.I've used
both and there is no comparison in my mind as to which is the more
satisfying format. But it all depends on what YOU
are wanting to accomplish. In many ways, the aspect ratio has as great an
influence on how one views the scene and experiences the sense of sweep
that most panoramists try to convey in their photographs any DOV
configuration.
Hope you find what you need!
Best,
GMI
