I have processed this stuff myself in C41 chemicals. There is a backing of
black tar like gunk on it that comes off. If a roll is put in a commercial
processing machine by mistake it will ruin it the machine and all the film
in it.
For those of you who are brave, you can process it in C41 soup. After
"washing" I got the gunk off by holding it under running water and a little
rubbing with my thumb. You will need to scrub your processing reels, the
sink, and your thumb too.
It is a mess! I suggest trying it once in your own darkroom just to see what
a disaster it would be if one of those films were to accidentally go through
a commercial roller processing machine.

I called Dale Labs in Hollywood, Florida to ask about alternate
processing. According to them it requires proprietary processing
(something to do with carbon masking?) and has to be returned to them or
to Seattle Film Labs. However they will send you all the mailers you need
to return the film.
