The RIP is software you download to the printer. It is keyed to one printer
only. Prints are not archival, but I have some that are over 1 year old and
still look good. Still, if you want archival, don't buy one. This is a nice
proofing printer that is simply to cheap and fun not to own. By pro standards
it won't hold up, you need the Epson 5000.

The difference, just about $9,700!
