RE: Noblex Repair

Hi Gary ....
My Noblex has always performed flawlessly, and continues to do so even after
the small problem I created.
It's more of an annoyance. Once, when I was putting on or taking off a
cable release, I somehow loosened the silver ring around the base of the
shutter release, so it now rotates round and around loosely. I suspect
there is simply a lock-nut inside, under the cover, but I am reluctant to
try to open it up. Eventhough my Noblex 150 continues to perform
beautifully, since the ring was stationary originally, I might as well make
it stationary again.
As I read about all the problems our fellow photographers are having with
the other/cheaper brands of panoramic cameras, it makes me proud to own a
Noblex. Not only is it trouble free, the optics are superb. I have never
found a better lens, not even on my 4x5" with the finest new lenses by
Schneider. I have blown-up my Noblex images "as big as a barn" and you can
still count eyelashes.
Thanks for the suggestion and phone number.
Roger

Roger,
I also am a Noblex owner and am wondering what kind of problem you have had
with yours. Was it damage to the camera or a defect? What model do you
have?
After seeing frequent messages about various defects and careful techniques
required with other brands of swing lens cameras, I have been nervously
watching for a malfunction with my Noblex 135U but it just keeps on purring
along.
