Panoramic Camera(s)

I am new to the list, and this is my first submission.

I recently visited Park City, UT and "discovered" the Globuscope
camera and the images it makes. For those of you that don't know what
it is, if there are any on the list, check it out on:
http://www.everent.com/globus/
Links show you the images it makes, which continue as the camera
spins until you stop it, taking a "whole roll" of 36 if you let it.
with the images repeated as the camera rotates.
I normally shoot med-format at weddings and other events, but would
find this a possible added product, as well as something to "play
with".
Do other cameras have as much appeal, and do they cost "that" much
more, especially those that use 120/220 film, for providing extra
resolution?
I've seen the Fuji medium-format panoramic, but the Globus.,
being able to go a full 360 would make its photos more unique.
I also have a concern about using filters.
Thanks in advance for your opinions/information.
