If you do this, leave an edge on the slide to fill the light seal on the
holder. Also, be careful to keep the dark cloth over the holder when
inserting the 1/2 slide. Otherwise you may experience a light leak when
the half slide is inserted and removed, due to the light seal's inability
to accommodate being open and closed at the same time.
