Its a simple matter of you usually get what you pay for.

I'm a "pro" (i use this term loosely - preferring the term "freelance") and
recently got well and truely undercut from a peer who is trying to get
established in my home town. He supplied a few images for a glossy real
estate sales brochure all for the princely some of a credit line on the
reverse of the brochure. The client had thought my fee of $75 per image was
a little high although agreed my images were of excellent quality. Anyhow
he only used 1 of my images (after initally stating he might use 10 - 15).
It all came down to costs he said. The brochure is a real flop (not just my
own opinion) it looks drap and uninteresting.

So it comes down to you pay peanuts you get monkeys?
