dear jesse-obviously you are not
aware of the very important round shot accessory you should but don't have
or know about. in several of their brochures it
was listed as "field assist trolvin" and actually it is a changing bag.
available in six colors, summer and winter models that weigh exactly the
same. the carry case has round shot logo boldly emblazoned thereon and
is called "zero gravity" but it is more grave than
gravity when required.
i use a changing bag from
time to time and i cite you one called "room at the stock exchange."
many moons ago in the back yonder time of 1982 the new york
stock exchange was almost likely to pass though 1,000. didja hear
that, one thousand! time magazine had me down there for three days.
evelyn merrin, kinda a sub picture editor felt i needed
three days to show people eating their
lunch outside and the traders on the floor with their musical instruments,
and in the word of bob dole, "whatever." photogs at nyse have to take a
number place to shoot from the balcony, but never from the floor. simon
went to house photographer ed topple and declared best picture would
be from the floor. "simon. howinell am i gonna get ya on the floor
when i ain't supposed to be there. "come-on-with me."
once on the floor i worked quickly and mostly
hid not be seen from the photographers' balcony shooting space. that explains
why you know so well what nyse looks like. there is only one main picture
point. i had early hulcherama.
i knew every cough and sputter it ever made. we
were friends. i got two 16 second turns. the internal cops came and
verbally abused ed and threw us both out, time magazine or not. the third
exposure, or wind off , was not made. i knew that only a darn fool would
open that camera to take the film out. upstairs i unloaded
in darkened office. it ain't no shame to do this. i developed at
outside lab as i wanted to see the result. then
i left two frames late that night at time. i had a building pass. just
as hulcherama was an evolving camera so is the round shot. this is meant
to sound cryptic. wanna see your camera problems in motion,
for cripesake, run it with film and take the top off. to save
your ass get the habit of unloading in safety of your being evicted before
checking the run. anybody know that great joke to which the answer is "ready
when you c.b."? how do you see this photograph, pages 38,39, color, time
magazine, 9-6-82. not in your library, tell simon. i'll color copy
pages and snailmail it. look at digital clocks, they show different times
as the world turns. usage was about 220 degrees. simon nathan from behind

Are you using the entire roll.??? or just part of the roll.
Seems to me Peter
Lorber told me I must use the roll to the end or at least 75% or more
before I
rewind. Mine is the 35mm modified to use non perf, so that there
is 1.24 inch
image width. I have also eliminated one of the rubber pulleys,
and it works
fine.
