Also try Kodak's brand new E-100 VS, Ektachrome 100 ASA very saturated; a
100
ASA competititon to Velvia!
I surely agree with that. The color differences within the frame with
Ektachrome 100 S out did the Velvia by two stops. I photographed a white,
yellow orange bus in San Francisco by a yellow blue green pastel building;
and the velvia blended the densities of the colors all together, but the
Ektachrome 100 S had the different densities, intensities so majestically
represented it was astounding.
I would, however, take advantage of all the European films offerred and try
them all, there. Send the exposed film by DHL or some other carrier to A&I
in Los Angeles and come home to the surprises.
Taking and returning with film is another advaneture all together, and if
you don't mind hassels take and return with film. I don't like baggage, nor
customs hassels, myself.
