This has worked well for me, but it does require more prep time. You
can’t show up with just a few minutes to go before boarding and demand
a private inspection. Maybe if more photographers started requesting private
search we could send a message that something must be done to deal with the
film x-ray problem that is fair to all. I do worry that since the private
inspection is expensive and time consuming, that the idiots will simply
enact a "user fee" for the service. But that is another problem
for another time.
It’s time to unite on this issue.
Sincerely
Ron Klein
Good story, Ron. These people get
paid whether they do anything or not. You givethem a chance to do
their job. I'mglad to know whom to contact and when: Tha airline
and before airport arrival for departur. Or, perhaps when you book
your flight.
They all LOVE to deal with
VIPs.
Like you said, they're more interested in
YOUR adventureand what kind of camera to get their kids than uncovering some
plot to overthrow the world.
