walt- just found this in my computer. get to library
with popular photography files. read simon says column april, may l970.
tells how i did simon/wide by sectioning mamiya press. can't find, snailmail
typed address and i'll copy onto envelope, and you've got it.
all you'd need to do since have 5x7 field
camera would be splice right and left and left ends of magazine into one.
6x9s for starters and double wind gives 6x17(18). this would better film
flatness than weightier f-46 mags. i can put my mag on copier for you.
i didn't do this work myself. i requested it done. nikon prototype shop
in japan did this for me. at the time in 1964 they were also known as beauty
camera co, nikon's inspector general for import of pp calypso from france
now somewhat perfected as nikonos. simon nathan. ask directly if i can
help you further.

I am looking for
an relatively inexpensive way to make 6X17cm pans from a 5X7 field camera.
I know that KB Canham is supposed to be making a roll film back but do
you know, aside from taking apart a panoramic camera, how else i can accopmplish
my goal? warmly, Walt
