Is 'left' and 'right' corrected for the fact that what sits left in 
the camera shows on the right in the final image?
Can you rule out that the film has been sitting some time before the 
next exposure, and has formed a curl, which doesn't immediately go 
away?
For my Mamiya RB 70mm back, this problem is even mentioned in the 
manual, and for which it even offers a vacuum system....
