I had the same problem and had to return the camera to Photographers Supply in
San Francisco. I went through three cameras before getting one that works
correctly. They honor a six month warranty, and each time replaced it with
another brand new (sealed in the styrofoam box) Horizon. They are the main
importer of the Horizon, and usually have several in stock. Don't mess with
it! Take it back. Photographers Supply, the last time I was there is $375.00
