Re: 4x5 400 colour neg?

Bart
I purchased the infra-red goggles from Meredith Instruments, Glendale Az. back
in June 96. I picked up an old Kodak Safelight, and special ordered the
infra-red filter from B&H.
Meredeth does not always have these goggles in stock. When they get a pair
in, they refurbish the unit with a one year warranty. I had to check back
with them a couple of times, before getting a pair.
For a while there, I was spooling the five inch film on home made five inch
spools for the # 5 Cirkut camera. It was great being able to see what your
doing, especially taping the leader back on.
Will Landon and Peter Lorber also use infra-red goggles in their labs.
I was also spooling the Fuji NPS 160 , 9 1/2 inch film.
The goggles were originally made in the U.S., for the Israli Army, and then
surplused back to the U.S..
If anyone is interested in their availability, Meredith Instrument web site is
as follows:
http://www.mi-laser.com or info line 1 800 722-0392 fax 602 934-9482.
