Why do people want to minitaurize wide angle images so much? What i mean is:
if you want to make a wonderful panoramc image that is sharp through and
through at a reasonabel size, e.g. 10x30 inches, I think you have to start at
medium format.
Some other manufacturer may come up with a Hasselblad X-pan type of camera.
But you have to have at least 24x70mm to be able to make decent blow-ups.
I have never gotten really good results with super wide angle lenses on 35mm
cameras, not even with the 16mm Hologon on the Contax G1. So I sold that
lens. Things are just too small to be blown up big.
Regular photos really come to life when they are shown at at least 8x10 size.
Panoramics come to life when blown up to at least 10x30.
I am ready for the barrage of cons and pros.
