You can see an example of a G617 shot (the old camera with fixed 105 mm
lens) at http://www.area360.com/pix/panamint.jpg. BTW, the vignetting is
because I shot this sans center filter (so I could use an enhancing filter).
I have found, however, that even with a center filter, one must stop down
quite a bit to avoid vignetting in a clear sky.

Having formerly used an Art Panorama with a 90 mm lens, I would say that
there is no substitute for ALL possible focal lengths. For my purposes, a
Noblex serves when I need a wider view than the 105 mm provides. I still
need the longer lens, though ...

If you can find a way to rent the camera and lenses, you'll quickly decide
which works for you.
