Having worked with both,I'd have to say that there is little noticable
difference in sharpness between the 105f8 Fujinon and the 90f5.6 Super
AngulonMC on the Linhof 617s.The difference I do see is in contrast and
general
color rendition. The Fuji seems to have a warmer lens while the Linhof
has much more snap in terms of contrast.
I would encourage you to check out two particular books of mine:
"Beneath An Open Sky:panoramic photographs"(University of Illinois
Press)
(photographs of the rural landscape taken solely with a Fuji G617)
and
"Places of Grace:The Natural Landscapes of the American
Midwest"(University of Illinois Press)
(photographs include panos taken with both the Fuji and the Linhof..see
if you can tell which panos were taken by which camera!)
all available at Amazon.com ,Barnes and Noble etc...
