Camera Obscura

I just received this blurb over the NPS  cc mail on the Camera Obscura,
San Francisco:

The San Francisco Examiner (June 6) ran an article about the future of
the Camera Obscura, a tourist attraction that leases space at the Cliff
House.  According to the Sutro Historic District Comprehensive Design
and Environmental Assessment, the optics of the Camera Obscura will be
incorporated into the rehabilitation plans for the Cliff House.  This
will provide a 360 degree view even more spectacular than the view now
available.  The future of the building which currently houses the optics
has yet to be determined.  The Examiner interviewed members of the
public who feel that the structure should remain where it is and should
be listed in the National Registry of Historic Places.  In addition,
Golden Gate National Recreation Areas Chief of Cultural Resources
reassured KFRC listeners, that the Camera would remain on site.
