	I recently rec'd the following:

THIS IS A CALL FOR PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGES ON CD!!

PAINET wishes to add 200,000 new photographic images (with captions) to our
database by March 30, 2000.

Therefore, we are willing to pay $0.50 per image selected from your CDs.

As a full time, free-lance, Stock and Commercial photographer you can be
assured that I will do my best to circulate this advertisement to every
stock shooter I can find, posting it to every professional news group
possible with a strong recommendation to avoid your company like the plague.

FIFTY cents per image?  

		If you had wanted to insult stock photographers you could not have
possibly choosen a better way.

TEXT Continued: 

 We will review all CDs containing images in any format provided the images
are
a minimum of 512 x 768 pixels in size (this would include the popular Kodak
CD size). We  prefer the JPEG (.JPG) image format; however, all image
formats are acceptable.

A caption or description list must be supplied with the CDs. This should be
in the form of a text document listing all the Image Identification Numbers
and their corresponding captions or descriptions. If you export the
descriptions from a database, use the tab-delimited or comma-delimited text
formats when exporting. If the descriptions are created on a Word program
such as Microsoft Word or Clarisworks, type the image ID, followed by a tab
character and the description. Finish each item with a paragraph mark
(return).  Save the finished document in text format. The descriptions can
be provided on a floppy disc, Iomega Zip or Jaz disc, or on a CD. We will
return all disks and CDs, and a check, when the review of your images is
complete. Review takes approximately 3 weeks.

As an alternate, you may supply the caption list as a printout to letter
size paper. The printout must be legible and the lettering bold. Because of
the additional keywording work required can only pay $0.35 per image when
captions are provided in printout form.

A SIGNED COPY OF THE AGREEMENT AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS EMAIL MUST ACCOMPANY
THE FIRST CD SHIPMENT.

PHOTOGRAPHER'S AGENCY AGREEMENT

I, _____________________________,
owner of the email address _____________________, certify and
warrant that I am the sole and exclusive owner of the digital images
delivered to you by e-mail, CDs or by transfer to your FTP (File Transfer
Protocol) site.

I hereby grant to PAINET INC, and its affiliates or assigns, a non-exclusive,
world-wide right to post my images on the Internet via electronic
distribution, for the purpose of marketing and/or advertising my images
and generating sales of such.

I understand the compensation for your service shall be Fifty Per Cent
(50%) of the total sum billed and collected by you.
This agreement shall be for four (4) years from the date of this e-mail,
and at each expiration date it shall renew itself automatically for a
like period unless terminated by either party in writing, by Registered mail,
sixty (60) days before any expiration date.

It is understood and agreed that this agreement does not constitute an
employment agreement between me and you, and that my status is that of
an independent contractor.

This agreement shall not be amended, modified, or changed in any respect
unless the change is reduced to writing and signed by each of the
parties.

No trade, custom, or usage shall affect this agreement or the terms and
conditions of it.

This agreement incorporated our entire understanding.

This agreement shall be binding upon the photographer and PAINET INC,
and their heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns.
