Mitch,
The 6X12 Horseman back produces a nomial image size of 56 X 112MM. The Rodenstock
catalogue does show an image cirlce of 131mm, but when the cirlce is drawn over a
rectangle 56X112MM one does see overlap, as they illustrate in their catalogue.
Yet they claim that with a 6X12 back (56X117MM) one should still have 4MM vertical
and 2MM horizontal adjustment! Now the shift doesn't interest me as I don't have
that feature on my camera, but I don't understand the claim (since I don't have an
education in this area). In terms of what to buy, backs to match lens or vice
versa....that is irrelevant to this camera. The Horseman SW612 is not a bellows
camera. It is a system combining a large format Rodenstock lens mounted to a
Horseman mounting board fitted to a frame with choice of interchangable backs in
three sizes. Your specs for the Rodenstock were correct, other than the current
filter diameter has been increased and the current Rodenstock center filters mount
at 67MM, and any stacking filter would mount over a 86MM diameter.
In terms of stacking polarizer problems and the angulon 47mm....that is one of the
other folks in the discussion.
With appreciation,
Joel
