It sound a little bit confused, but
1) you need a digital camera, then try

2) see spheric Panos a (software by smoothmove.com)  with (ardware from
kaidan.com) now $999 next month $1499 and use a simple camera like you want
-- havn't you read the mails at THIS FORUM
3) What kind o lens do you need? I don't understand for what.
4) Presentation or stitching ?
Livepicture has Photovista to stitch and applets to present.
Picture Works Spin Panorama is to stitch and they have applets for free, too
simple download it
