I donn`t agree with you here.Spherical panoramas looks more natural,more
information they have (it my personal view ).
In my gallery I have to panos with rapid stair (linked in Andreevskij Uzviz
Street).If you make cylindrical panorama there you`ll lose half of the
steir.The same in the Cathedral and Funicular panoramas.They have a lot to
show in zenith and in nadir points.

Often but not always. What if you have beautiful antique lustre straight up
or good looking mosaic parquet floor in the "low"...

No.I used only Helmut`s tools.It more accurate and understandable for me
than other, where you put in "black box" some pictures and get one pano
back."Panorama Tools" use high quality interpolator and is very flexible.
