I believe you need to go the route of a plotter, like the newest EPSON wide
printers, which can do I believe 44 inches wide stuff by whatever length you
can imagine.
I have the Epson 3000, which can do 17 inch wide stuff by 44 inches. If you
shoot 6x17 pans and scan at 1200 dpi, you are fine. But the files are large,
and you need a power computer to handle it. My files are abut 58 MB scanend
at 1200 dpi.
AT this scanning resokution, your 24x72 inch orint would need to go to the
printer at 100 dpi, wich is a little thin. You need at least a 200dpi to go
to the rpointer (I'm not talkign abput prinetr dpi!).
So, then your file would be about 120MB in size, and need to be scamnend at
2400 dpi. You need a good drum or flatbed scanner!
You have to think whether your software and hardware is up to it!
How to use the PhotoSHop Calculator?
Go to image size.
Turn off the resample image box.
Punch in your numbers and find out.
