Quite unlikely, as the Noblex has dull-black slit edges, and shows
this banding just as bad. Unfortunately, my solution requires
risking a complete camera, and until I find one that is already
beyond economical repair, I won't be able to cut the front of the
drum open....8-))

Light never goes through the emulsion, with exception of Kodak HIE
infrared (and a few other thin semi-aerials without an anti-halation
layer).

Are you sure the shutter did not stay open during recocking?

Thusfar I haven't noticed any deterioration with the later
models....I guess I have a better source for these cameras than the
average shop/seller....;-))
