IPIX to Join Leaders From the Imaging, Communications and Publishing

Industries

OAK RIDGE, Tenn., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Interactive Pictures Corporation
(Nasdaq: IPIX), a world leader in immersive
imaging for the Internet, announced that they have been selected as the first
immersive imaging representative on the International Center of Photography's
(ICP) President's Council. In this role, IPIX will join other industry
leaders in the imaging, communications and publishing fields to offer expert
advice on trends and activities for ICP, New York's internationally renowned
museum of photography.

"IPIX is a company on the leading edge of photography and video-based
immersion," said Willis Hartshorn, ICP Director. "We are pleased to have
them join our President's Council and bring their expertise to us on the
future of imaging for the Internet."

IPIX, whose technology creates fully navigable 360-by-360 degree images, is
the first and only company on the council whose focus is immersive imaging,
adding a new dimension of expertise to the group.

"We are honored to work with the International Center of Photography to build
awareness, understanding and passion for photography for the Internet," said
IPIX Chairman & CEO, Jim Phillips. "IPIX has pioneered the mainstream
adoption of immersive imaging on the Internet and we are excited to work with
leaders from companies including Corbis, National Geographic, Kodak, Conde
Nast Publications and LIFE Magazine to continue enabling creative photography
applications through ICP."

The mission of the President's Council is to "provide expertise, influence,
and funding strategies to build awareness, understanding and passion for
photography through the growth and development of ICP." Members serve as
advisors to the President of ICP's Board of Trustees, providing expert advice
on trends and activities in the camera and related visual medium industries,
cash and in-kind contributions and participation in committees and special
projects.

Recently, Interactive Pictures and bamboo.com (Nasdaq: BAMB) announced a definitive agreement to merge
their two companies. The deal positions the integrated company to be the
premier provider of interactive imagery for the Internet, serving the real
estate, travel and hospitality, e-commerce, electronic publishing, education
and entertainment markets.

To date, IPIX technology has replaced traditional photographs on many leading
Internet sites. The real estate, e-commerce, automotive, travel/tourism,
entertainment, hospitality, education, broadcast journalism industries have
capitalized on how well IPIX images take viewers directly into a home, a car,
a stadium or an event -- using a standard computer mouse for navigation, pan
and zoom.

About the International Center of Photography

The International Center of Photography founded by Cornell Capa in 1974 is a
museum, a school and a center for photographers and photography. ICP
celebrates photography's diversity in many roles: as an agent of social
change, a medium of aesthetic expression, a tool for scientific or historical
research, and a repository for personal experience and memory. Like the
changing photographic medium itself, ICP's mission is expanding to encompass
the new electronic imaging media which will shape the twenty-first century
just as photography did the twentieth.

About Interactive Pictures

With technology originally developed on behalf of NASA and the U.S.
Department of Energy as a means to provide total remote viewing of hazardous
environments, an IPIX image places viewers in the center of a picture and
allows them to navigate the environment in real time as if they were
teleported into that space. IPIX is an easy to use and affordable
photography solution that delivers a completely immersive 360 x 360 degree
photographic experience providing interactive, spherical images. An IPIX
image takes the viewer from earth to sky, floor to ceiling, and horizon to
horizon, all from two simple opposing photographs captured by a fisheye lens
and seamlessly blended.

Interactive Pictures has helped numerous organizations create virtual tours
and enhanced digital marketing/electronic commerce efforts for many leading
companies including Microsoft, Disney, Hilton Hotels, Toyota, Intel, National
Geographic, Rent.Net, Coldwell Banker, CNN, The New York Times, The Chicago
Tribune, Discovery Communications, the NFL, and the NBA. Interactive
Pictures maintains corporate headquarters in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and San
Jose, California. Corporate investors include Advanced Publications,
