Re: Use a 220 camera to make 35mm paranoma!

If you want the 35mm format high by 120/220 format
wide, then it would be to your advantage to go ahead
and shoot with 120 format film. Then cut it down to
the 35mm format high after processing. This way you
will have the advantage of MASSIVE rise and fall. This
is a really huge advantage!
BTY- The problem with the Xpan is not that it is a bad
camera. The problem is that you can buy a REAL Hassy
for the same money with the huge advantage of the
MASSIVE rise and fall. In addition, for no additional
charge you will own a REAL Hassy with all of the
bells, whistles, prestige and accessories that go with
it.
IMHO- If you want to shoot stock panorama then only
consider the 6x17 format. The vast majority of all
stock panorama sold is in this format. The best value
6x17 camera is the Art Panoram. It is about the only
one available that allows you to use any darn brand
view camera lenses you want to, or better yet already
own. Wonder why you never see a used VPan for sale?
That is because it is the best stock panorama camera
ever built. What this world really needs is a 6x17
format 120/220 film back that would attach to a 4x5
camera. Yes, this has been done with an extension on
the back. How is it coming Chet?
