Apparently, it does, because we scan (or "pan," if you will) rather than
capture all at once.

I'm really sorry this is being beaten to a pulp.  No one is trying to
diminish the value of any panoramist's work...it stands or falls based on
its own merit and that's what seems to be forgotten here.
