Epson Stylus Photo 700 - ok?

I'm now looking at buying an Epson Stylus Photo 700. Can anyone who's
got one tell me:
1. Can it print up to 44"?
2. How do you find the running costs?
3. Have you tried refilling with 3rd party inks?
4. Would this printer also be suitable for use as a general purpose
printer (i.e. black text)?
5. Have you found the ink to smear or fade?
