Ohhhh -- this is Problem Number 31. And it is not the contacts. The
Noblex has a couple weak wires heading to the camera controls from their
compartments and they all too frequently break. Or maybe just one of
them breaks. It happens in cold, dry, rainy or other ordinary weather,
or any situation which doesn't compare to Noblex' own indoor studio
testing conditions.
Sending your camera to RTS' repair facility gets it to Professional
Camera Repair Service (PCRS), which is an above average repair shop in
NYC, but unfortunately, RTS is less than punctual in getting your camera
back to you. If it comes back in less than a month, you can count
yourself as really lucky.
If I sound biased, it is because in 1999, PCRS, RTS or Noblex had
Noblexes of mine for more than seven months. They recently returned a
non-fix for a serious flaw only after legal action was threatened. RTS,
which grosses in the neighborhood of $2.5 million from Noblex sales in
the US alone, doesn't seem to know anything about customer service.

Good luck, and write with any complaints.
