I grew up really enjoying Simon's column, and particularly remember his 
columns on the construction of the Simon-wides. On the other hand, I find it 
hard to decipher his comments sometimes. In addition, I think we all know 
that communication includes both content and mode or manner. Is it too much 
to ask that communication be clear and more or less directed to the general 
topic of this list? A divergence now and then into the boundary areas is no 
problem, especially in fun. But I would say that about 10-25% of what comes 
on this list is now related to panoramic, however defined. Couldn't we make 
it 75-90%.
